“Worst place ever i wasnt allow me to rent from them even though I paid 3 days in advance online. all because my ID was expired. it's expired because of the coronavirus has caused me not to have any money and I couldn't afford to pay the outrageous fees that the DMV charges for an identification card or driver's license. so not only can I not rent from them they canceled the rental that I had already paid for off my stimulus card and now I can't have the money back for 5 days at least.leaving me broke with no storage and nowhere to put my stuff thanks a lot the lady at the desk was the utmost rudest I've ever dealt with and should be handled accordingly she jumped right in front of the desk girl that's originally sitting there just to tell me my ID is expired ,company policy ,that they will not rent to me. the purposes of i.d. is to identify me. what is the purpose of canceling my payment to you all because of a date that the DMV put on there just so they can get paid again in 5 years. I'm still me. I'm still the same birthday everything exactly the same . my picture ,same.I just didn't have the money to pay the DMV . is it going to change once I pay them they're $40 for for a new ID?no I'm still me if I don't pay them , now isnt it still the same information that your employee just turned me down for and refunded my money. Which then held for five days . It was all the money I had and thanks to you now I don't have anything for five days and I get to shiver out in the streets because I don't have the Peace of mind of my stuff being okay . it's not a-1 fault but, they don't take in consideration that I have lost my place to live, my job, my car is now broke down and I can't fix it because of lack of funds all my bills are in default including court fines. it's going to including court fines and it's going to eventually put me in jail because I can't pay because of lack of funds . With all the problems that i have come across in the last couple weeks the last thing I thought about is them refusing to rent me because of a date that has nothing to do with my identification of me what exactly the company policy wanted to be a valid within the guidelines of the DMV expiration date what does that have to do with your company my stuff that I've had since childhood is being stolen from me all because they couldn't overlook a date that had nothing to do with the identification of me. to me a-1 is the worst storage out there. Staff extremely rude atleast the lady who took charge and treated me like some kinda thief while she examined my stimulas card toake sure the names matched. extremely rude I can't emphasize that enough. is it different that I didn't pay the DMV that you refuse to rent from me due to your company policy per se. So this now then leave me even in a deeper hole rhen i was originally was stuck. on a cold street with most of my stuff going to be up for grabs now because I thought a1 store was going to be all my side and help me out they should have mentioned it on their website that I can't rent if I didn't have a up-to-date non-expired driver's license or ID card don't tell me I have to read the whole policy before I can understand that when I was just putting my money into a business that is local.well I'll make sure all my friends know not to rent from a1 storage ever and anyone that is renting from them is advised by me to leave rudeness and unprofessionalism is an understatement..”
